Two unexpected medical emergencies have turned our family’s world upside down and we’re humbly asking for support to ease their financial burden.

As some of you may know, Jim & Kenn recently experienced serious and frightening health events—both within a short period of time.

Kenn collapsed suddenly in the middle of the night. What started as a terrifying emergency and extended hospital stay, ended with a diagnosis of high blood pressure and kidney failure. He is now on regular dialysis and is exploring a future kidney transplant.

Around the same time, Jim went in for what should have been a routine checkup, only to learn he was in AFib (atrial fibrillation). He was also hospitalized for several days so doctors could regulate his heart rhythm, adjust medications and monitor for complications. What seemed like a small appointment became yet another serious and unexpected medical situation.

While Jim & Kenn thankfully have insurance, it does not protect them from major financial hardship and they are staring down over $18,000 of medical bills. Any additional funds raised will go towards the testing and preparation required for organ transplant
