Just this last weekend, I found out that my step father, Jim Cochran, has been submitted to the hospital with some serious health issues. He had surgery to remove his appendix and there are complications with the surgery. Not only that, he was misdiagnosed, and did not need the appendix removed. Also, his colon was punctured in the botched surgery. A second surgery helped with his original problem, blockage. The hospital is still charging for their mistake IN FULL.
He needs to heal now for a few weeks before he can get a colonoscopy, and meanwhile his hospital bills are going to be sky high! This is all going to be very expensive for a retired man living on SS benefits only. I am asking for help at this time from all my friends and to please help with what you can, either it be prayers, or financial help, or both! I will be helping with what I can, and I am asking for help to make this a happy story, not a sad one.
A little about my dad,
My step father just suffered the loss of his wife Bliss Cochran, also my mother, just last year in February. He has been dealing with some pretty severe depression ever since. Me too, actually.
Jim Cochran who is also a veteran of the Vietnam war, was very intelligent with numbers and engineering, so they had him computing trajectory information for targeting of huge howitzer guns in an outpost in Cuba believe it or not! After the war, he got into making comics for a few publications regularly. He was very talented.
After meeting my mother in the early 90's and getting married, they started a business that they could run from anywhere, and sailed for a month down to Mexico in 2006, and decided to live there permanently. It is truly a paradise where they moved to and they were both happy to be contributing to the community there, as musicians, and also, my mother volunteered at the local library, and found homes for lost dogs and cats as well! They kept very busy.
Jim is an extremely talented artist and musician. His watercolor paintings of Mexican life and fantastic portraits are incredible with detail. As is his music. In fact he used to play with my mother regularly at venues in San Carlos, Mexico with a couple different groups for years. I'll provide links of their music soon.
Jim loves sailing and wants to one day be able to sail again on his sailboat. I'm praying that this will be possible and that his health and happiness will improve!
Thank you for taking the time to read this and possibly help out in any way you can. Good Bless you all!
