I'm Shane Cerutti, and we're raising money for my father, Jim (James) Cerutti.
Jim is a kind, loving, and hardworking husband and father who has always been there for our family. He was recently diagnosed with a liver lesion that was definitively classified as cancer (LR-5) based on imaging. While follow-up scans have shown unusual changes, his liver remains severely damaged from non-alcoholic cirrhosis. He urgently needs a living donor liver transplant to survive.
Despite not drinking, he suffers from non-alcoholic cirrhosis, and his fight is now more critical than ever.
While insurance covers part of the medical expenses, we are facing significant out-of-pocket costs, including:
- Insurance co-pays and out-of-pocket maximums for covered care
- Non-covered medical expenses, including lifelong immunosuppressants (which are highly expensive)
- Transportation and lodging
- Extended caregiver expenses during recovery
