Transplant Support

Dear Friends, family, and community,

Jim Bryan was unexpectedly admitted to Stanford Hospital last week (7/10/24). His wife, Dawn, drove him to Stanford for further evaluation due to increased oxygen needs. Jim's oxygen saturation levels dropped to 49% a few times with minimal activity. He was admitted to Stanford and told he will not be able to leave the hospital until he is able to have a lung transplant. He is currently on heated high flow at 100% In the ICU. He is stable and is receiving excellent care.

Jim's wife Dawn, daughter Michelle, and son Collin will be traveling weekly to Stanford to support him, then they will be staying in the Bay Area after the transplant. They will stay down there with him until the transplant team says he is stable enough to leave the area and return home, which could be 6-12 months.
