Support Jim Bevans' Kidney Transplant

Jim Bevans and his wife Deb have been close friends of ours for the past 20 years. We first met in Vestal, NY, and discovered we both had roots in Buffalo and were avid Bills fans! Jim and Deb are back in Buffalo, surrounded by their loving family. Their strong family ties and deep roots in both communities have always been a source of strength.
In the spring of 2024, Jim was diagnosed with ANCA Vasculitis, a rare autoimmune disease that attacked his kidney. Jim was born with only one kidney, making this diagnosis especially devastating. On Monday, August 18, 2025, Jim’s prayers are being answered as he receives a life-saving kidney transplant in Buffalo. The journey hasn’t been easy—Jim has been unable to work due to his illness, and the financial strain has weighed heavily on the family. Even with insurance, there are many out-of-pocket costs: hospital bills, lifelong anti-rejection medications, lost income during recovery, and unexpected medical expenses. The transplant brings hope, but also new and ongoing financial challenges.
Jim has always been the first to lend a hand, helping neighbors and friends in need at a moment’s notice. He’s an amazing cook, a generous host, and someone who truly loves bringing people together. His kindness and support have made a huge impact on friends and neighbors in both Vestal and Buffalo. Now, as Jim faces this critical moment, it’s our turn to rally around him. With the transplant happening this Monday, immediate and future expenses will add to the financial toll. Your support will help Jim and his family focus on recovery and healing, knowing their community stands with them.
