Help Jim and Lori's Recovery after tornado

Hi everyone, we are Jim and Lori Hast and our home in Minden, Iowa, which was hit by the catastrophic tornado on April 26, 2024 that destroyed half of our town and businesses.

In the aftermath of the destruction, we found that our home is unlivable. Shattered glass windows and insulation blown all through the home with no roof. Cracks that indicate structural damage. We have lost most all of the main floor items in our 1 story home.

With support of family and friends, we are determined to rebuild and continue to live in the community we have grown to love.

I, Lori, am in a wheelchair full time due to a form of Cerebellar Ataxia and get around in a wheelchair van. We no longer have our van as of two days ago due to severe problems with mechanics. We are currently trying to trade it off for a different one.
