16 Yr Veteran Philadelphia Fire LT Burned On Duty

Please Read Full Story:
On March 4, 2024 I was injured on duty while working as a Fire Lieutenant in a house fire. This was supposed to be my “Sweet 16” year. I worked at a busy Fire company, Engine 41, for 11 years then I was promoted to Lieutenant and have worked as such for the past 5 years. I was Burned, Trapped, and had to Bail Out off a second floor window. I am Blessed to be writing this. Praise Jah!
A PFD member offered to set up a GoFundMe to help with expenses incurred as a result of the fire, as I was also self employed in my business of 24 years that I am not able to work at while my burns are healing. Neither am I able to work overtime. However, on March 27, the same member ended my GoFundMe because I refused to Boycott our departments Women’s Day Celebration. An event that I was invited to, to be acknowledged for my dedication and service. I received the funds but I was not able to keep it open since I was not the person who set it up. That is why I created this new one. We all know this is NOT how our Fire Family should move.
If you contributed to the other account I want to THANK YOU and ask that you share this one. If not and you contribute to this one I THANK YOU in advance and ask that you share as well.
To my BALTIMORE FIRE FAMILY, could you please support and/or share to help my family reach our goal. Last year I met so many more of you when I heard of the passing of 2 of “our Baltimore” members. For two Fridays in a row I hit the road from Philly at 5:00 AM because I HAD TO come show my Love even though I never met either one of them. But you guys showed ME so much Love and neither you nor I asked for anything in return. Because we are Authentic. This is who we are. This is what we do.
In conclusion, I could use any and all help as I can not work overtime, and I can not work at my place of business of 24 years while I am healing from my burns.
May God Bless You All
