Support Jill's Recovery from SCAD

Donation protected
Friday night my mother, Jill, started having severe chest pain. Typically, she would push through it, but this type of pain she could not ignore. Thankfully, she decided to go to Bitterroot Health. After 2 different EKGs and bringing in a specialist for blood work, they decided to send her to St. Pats via ambulance. Jill's tests came back with troponin showing 3+ higher than normal. Troponin is the protein that signifies damage to the heart after a heart attack. After extensive testing, we finally have an answer, spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD). SCAD is a condition where a tear occurs in the wall of one or more coronary arteries, which are the blood vessels that supply the heart with oxygen and nutrients.

The cause is unknown, as SCAD is a rare but serious condition. Jill will have to be on medication for the rest of her life, and the possibility of surgery(s) due to also having lupus.

My mother is not the type to ask for help. In fact, she's always thinking ahead of how to help her community, even when her health is poor. We are not sure of what the medical costs will be, or even what recovery looks like at this time. She has not been released from the hospital and will miss work.

If you are able to, please consider donating to help cover the large medical bills, and time away from work. There is still so much unknown and more tests to do. Please keep my mother in your prayers ❤️
Thank you!
