Hello All~ I'm usually the one donating, so it's unusual & somewhat embarrassing to write about myself & ask for help while I work through my 2nd Cancer-Related Journey & Survivorship! Radiation from my 2021 tumor has caused necrosis of my clivus bone at the base of my skull, causing excruciating head & facial pain. I'm writing this while inpatient at Cleveland Clinic Ohio-- Day 4 with lots of CTs, 3 MRIs & PET scan tomorrow as there is suspicion of new growth also. My husband Chad is back home in Michigan helping take care of my 2 boys & things there. I'm alone here at the hospital, but... I prefer to not make anyone else miserable by staying with me. There is no real rest in any hospital anyway. I'm on FMLA for work, but it's unpaid. I'm not sure when I will be returning as I'm looking at a surgery soon to remove dead tissue & biopsy soft spots for possible neoplasm showing up in images And then potential chemo & other treatment options to worry about.
