Support Jill Ohotnicky’s Battle Against Addison's Disease

My name is Krista Cardillo Morton, Jill Ohotnicky’s lifelong best friend, soul sister, and confidant and TODAY I am stepping in and I am asking for help.

Jill has been diagnosed with debilitating Addison’s disease, leaving her with one working adrenal gland causing adrenal fatigue syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, respiratory failure, and lupus coupled with PTSD. Jill has been coping for a very long time with these auto immune disorders but just didn’t know until a recent diagnosis.. They have been manageable until a recent health crisis causing Jill to go through a lot of suffering physically, emotionally, and now financially due to expenses associated with insurance shortfalls.

Despite constant sickness, doctor visits, medications, hospitalizations, and the absolute toll that takes on one’s entire world, Jill does her absolute best human service work as a highly respected Dementia Practitioner.

Jill’s diseases do cause her to become violently ill for extended periods of time resulting in being hospitalized for long periods of time throughout the year. This has unfortunately resulted in a lot of medical bill debt, large deductible debt and coinsurance debt. As we all know, health insurance doesn’t cover everything at no cost. Jill needs access to all of her health insurance benefits or it could be consequential.

Jill was diagnosed March 2024 with 4 debilitating autoimmune diseases, spending much time in the hospital and constantly recovering. It’s a vicious cycle even though she went back to work as a dementia practitioner in May then contracted COVID on Aug 20. This coupled with her already compromised immune system has been devastating for her physically, mentally, emotionally & financially as her last relapse caused 10 months of unemployment. She has not been able to return to work currently due to serious respiratory issues and is a one income household.

We are all compassionate and caring human beings who know and love this beautiful soul, Jill.
