Jillie was rescued from being used as bait in dog fights five years ago. She’s had a wonderful life in DC and anyone who's met

her (at restaurants or the liquor store that babysits her) knows she is the most loving dog to anyone possible.

Unfortunately, it was discovered that she has a large tumor on her spleen the size of her stomach that has caused her to be anemic. She will need a blood transfusion just to get through surgery, and the costs are estimated to be at least $10,000 to $15,000. We’re doing what we can to give her as much time as possible, she's still young. But we have already spent thousands to get the needed tests and treatment. I realize there's no guarantee and a dog’s life is short in general but any help, prayers, treats, and love is greatly appreciated.
