With a heavy heart, I am starting this GoFundMe for my sister, Jillian Breece.

On February 16th, Jillian was admitted to the emergency room after a severe mental health crisis that nearly cost her life. Since then, she has spent the past several weeks receiving care in the emergency room, an Adult Behavioral Health hospital, and she will soon be transferred to an inpatient psychiatric clinic to continue her recovery.

This has been an incredibly difficult and unexpected time for our family. We are raising funds to help cover her ongoing medical bills, support her living expenses, and assist with the cost of the long-term care she will need during her healing process.

Jillian has always been someone who gives so much of herself to others. Through her salon and her work, she has built meaningful relationships in her community and has spent years helping people feel confident and cared for. Unfortunately, due to this crisis, her salon has been closed as she has been unable to work. As a self-employed hairdresser, this loss of income has created immediate financial strain.

While she currently has emergency Medi-Cal coverage, many aspects of her continued treatment and aftercare will require out-of-pocket expenses. In addition, Jillian will need surgery within the next few months, which will add further financial strain.
