Jillian Fader is my 23-year-old daughter, and she has always been a source of pride and inspiration for our family. As a recent University of Delaware graduate and a hardworking EMT with Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder Fire Company, Jillian has dedicated herself to helping others and serving our community as a first responder. Her dream has always been to become a physician, and she has worked tirelessly to prepare for medical school. Unfortunately, her plans have been put on hold after she was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin lymphoma.
This diagnosis has brought not only emotional challenges but also significant financial burdens. Jillian is currently unable to work due to her compromised immunity from chemotherapy, and the costs of her treatments are mounting every day. Between medical bills, travel expenses to and from Philadelphia for her appointments (sometimes multiple times a week), parking fees, co-pays, food, and everyday living expenses, the financial strain is overwhelming.
The funds raised through this campaign will help cover Jillian's growing medical bills and provide much-needed relief so she can focus on healing. It will also support her as she uses this time to prepare for the MCAT and medical school applications, with the hope of resuming her journey to becoming a physician once she recovers. Jillian is a young adult who should be able to focus on building her life, not battling cancer. She volunteers regularly within our community, and her resilience and determination inspire everyone who knows her. Now, it's time for the community to help her. Any support you can offer will make a meaningful difference in her life, and we are deeply grateful for your kindness and generosity.
