On January 2, 2026 Jillian was taken to the emergency room with chest pains. After a chest X-ray, cat scan and numerous blood test they decided to admit her to the hospital. During her stay she was seen by a pulmonologist, cardiologist, infectious disease doctor and oncologist. She had 500ml of fluid drained from around her heart and a biopsy taken from her lung. They found many masses in both lungs and one on her heart. After almost a week, they finally had answers. Turns out Jillian has stage 4 metastatic Angiosarcoma.

For those that don’t know about Angiosarcoma, it’s a rare and very aggressive cancer. This is devastating news at any age, but at 20 it’s quite a shock.

Jillian is such a hard worker. While holding down 4 different on campus jobs and substitute teaching during school breaks, she was on track to graduate a semester early from college. She was super excited to graduate and start her career as a High School English teacher.

Jillian’s doctors advised her to take the semester off and concentrate on her heath and treatment.

Since being diagnosed she has begun a very aggressive chemotherapy regimen. Unfortunately she has also had a few other health issues arise from the cancer. She has had to be hospitalized 2 more times for pneumothorax and had to have a chest tube placed both times so her lung could reinflate. Then she was having extreme difficulty breathing and they discovered a pulmonary embolism. Thankfully she has incredible doctors looking out for her.

Through all this, Jillian has remained positive and not lost sight of her goals. She is battling this disease with incredible courage and grace. She is such a resilient and inspirational young woman.

As Jillian battles this rare and aggressive cancer she is unable to work. Not only is she immune compromised , but the aggressive treatment is taking a toll on her. Jillian has always been a go getter full of energy. Now she gets very tired doing the little things. It’s extremely frustrating for her.

We are raising funds to help support Jillian through this fight and ease the burden of unforeseen cost. We want her to concentrate on what matters the most, getting better and back to her life as a college student.

If you are able to donate we would be extremely grateful. We understand if you can’t donate, but if you could please share Jillian’s story and keep her in your thoughts and prayers that would mean the world to her friends and family.

Thanks for reading Jillian’s story.
