update 10/28
Surgery is fast approaching. A few dr appointments on 10/31 then surgery 11/3. Please keep me in your prayers for a successful surgery and smooth recovery
update 10/18/25
I am about 2 weeks away from surgery on Nov 3rd. I have finished chemo but will continue Immunotherapy and will start Radiation in early 2026. Because I have will no longer have any FMLA time available after my surgery, all of my 4-6 weeks off for recovery will be unpaid leave of absence. I would be very grateful for any financial support as well as prayers for healing.
update: 9/27
so blessed to have finished chemo this past Wed!! Praise God ❤️ Now I begin Immunotherapy every 3 weeks starting Oct 15. My double mastectomy is scheduled for Nov 3 at Piedmont Henry Hospital after which I will be out of work on unpaid leave for 4-6 weeks. I would be very grateful for any donations to help alleviate financial burdens and expenses. Thank you ❤️
update: 9/5
been really tired after chemo 9/3. Next Friday 9/12 is full of appointments: visit with Cardiologist, ECHO at Piedmont and post chemo lab work. Waiting to see if the thigh injections will be restarted after they stopped those for 2 weeks due to a reduction in heart function. My last chemo is 9/24 Praise God!! Then surgery is confirmed for 11/21. Radiation treatment should start in Jan/Feb and will be daily for 4 weeks. Luckily I can do that in Griffin.
update 8/22:
my most recent chemo was 8/13 and I have 2 chemo treatments left (9/3 and 9/24). I am experiencing new side effects unfortunately. I have a painful fungal rash under my left arm, and an eye infection. I have medications for both but with my compromised immune system, it is taking longer for me to heal. Due to a decrease in my heart function observed during my last ECHO, I have been referred to a cardiologist and am waiting on that appointment to be confirmed.
My name is Jill Warren & I was diagnosed with breast cancer in April of this year. My treatment plan was established by Dr. Tran with Piedmont Cancer Institute and is almost a year long regimen including: chemo every 3 weeks through the end of September, then 10 weeks of weekly immunity shots, a double mastectomy scheduled in November, and then radiation treatment. Due to the side effects of chemo (especially extreme fatigue & diarrhea), and a weakened immune system, I am currently out of work from Moreland Road Elementary as a Kindergarten teacher on FMLA. While I do have health insurance, I do not have short- or long-term disability and have already used all of my sick days, so unfortunately all of my time off is unpaid. I am setting up this GoFundMe with the hope that I can secure donations to help with both medical expenses & normal monthly bills.
I am extremely grateful for any donation amount and would appreciate any prayers for healing. Thank you and God bless you ❤️
