This is Allison Nau, I'm Jill Mrsny's daughter. My brothers and I are reaching out to anyone who is able to willing to help with the expenses that our parents are having to endure while my mom battles lung cancer.
In early 2019 our mom was diagnosed with splenic lymphoma cancer. She underwent infusions and went into remission in July of that year. But unfortunately they have found a spot on one of her lungs the end of February of this year. It is stage one small cell lung cancer. Right away her doctors started her with chemo and radiation. Surgery was not really an option considering the condition of her lungs. She has three days of chemo then a 21 day break. Mom will do this for four rounds. She also started radiation that involves driving to Sioux City, one hour from their home, 5 days a week for 5 weeks. As you can imagine the daily trips are getting exhausting and the miles and gas are racking up. My parents are proud people and don't easily ask for hand outs. They are usually the ones to give the shirts off their back to anyone who needs help. So please, consider any sort of monetary donation to help them with this hardship. Mom is still working part time at North East Nebraska Insurance even though she has hit that retirement age. Dad has been retired for a little while now. If a monetary donation isn't feasible right now, please pray for them and send them well wishes.
Much love and appreciation,
