Support Jihye's Self-Funded Dog Rescue in South Korea
Donation protected
As many of you know, Renee, Joanna, and myself have been helping our amazing friend Jihye (“Gee-heh”) with her dog rescue located in South Korea. Recently Jihye has focused her efforts on saving dogs from one particular high-kill shelter in Jeongeup-si, Jeollabuk-do, Korea.
This shelter is overcrowded with beautiful dogs who have been the innocent victims of illegal puppy mills, the dog meat trade, traffic accidents, neglect, or abandonment. Jihye’s rescue efforts are entirely self-funded and are absolutely overwhelming. Every month a staggering number of young, healthy, social dogs are euthanized. Locally, we work with Jihye to prioritize placement of the dogs on the euthanasia list by securing foster and forever homes for them.
In just two days, dozens of innocent dogs in Korea are scheduled to be euthanized simply because they have no homes. We understand that not everyone is in a position to foster or adopt and that is why we are urgently raising funds to rescue as many as we can before it’s too late.
No amount is too small, and every dollar will go directly towards pulling these dogs from this high-kill shelter, providing emergency and routine medical care, and securing safe transport to foster homes in the United States where they can begin a new life filled with love and hope. Time is running out, and we can’t do this without your help. Please consider donating — together, we can save them.
