Our coworker and friend, Jie He, her husband and another tenant experienced an unimaginable tragedy overnight when a devastating fire destroyed their home in Kittery.

Jie, her husband Jacques, and a tenant were inside the home when the fire broke out. Thankfully, they were able to escape, but they have lost their home and now face the overwhelming task of rebuilding their lives.

In a matter of hours, this family’s sense of safety and normalcy was completely turned upside down. They now need help with temporary housing, clothing, food, personal necessities, and the many unexpected expenses that follow a tragedy like this.

Jie is a valued coworker and a caring member of our community. During this incredibly difficult time, we want to surround her, Jacques, and the other tenant with the same kindness and support that Jie has shown to so many others.
