Support JHS 291 Hawks Basketball Team

My name is Jim Moran. I'm a teacher and basketball coach at JHS 291 Roland Hayes in Bushwick, NY. Thanks to our donors last year we successfully had our first basketball season. Lifetime memories, triumphs, failures, life lessons and so much more were experienced by all and for that we are truly grateful to our supporters. The lessons taught and character building of these young men was truly the greatest accomplishments. These young men not only honored their commitment to their team but made great strides in the classroom with all of them graduating. It was also an amazing experience to watch their faces light up when they got into the high schools of their choice with many of them planning on playing basketball at these high schools. We are eternally grateful for all of this.

This year we are planning to build on the success of last year. New team, new players (some returning), new goals, same hunger, same drive, same mindset. Without our donors none of this is possible. Funds will be used for league fees, referee fees, supplies (water bottles, equipment), team meetings, jerseys, and a special event (if we raise enough funds).
