We're raising funds for Bristol Hebrew Congregation Cheder & Youth Group - a small but spirited Hebrew school in the heart of Bristol, UK.
Our Cheder is home to a diverse, warm, and growing Jewish community. We welcome families from all backgrounds, with varying levels of connection to Judaism - and we come together with one shared goal: to give our children a meaningful Jewish education.
Our mission is simple: to teach Jewish values, Jewish history, and instill Jewish pride in the hearts and minds of the children of our community. We believe it is essential for the next generation to have a deep understanding of their heritage, their culture, and the strength of the Jewish people. We offer them the opportunity to learn, to grow, and to connect with their peers in an environment that encourages friendship, fun, and meaningful activities.
Why it Matters
In a small Jewish community like Bristol, it can be hard to find spaces where Jewish children can learn and grow together. We provide that space - and we never turn a child away due to financial hardship. That’s why we rely on the generosity of people like you to make sure every child has access to the learning, fun, and connection they deserve.
Our Goals
This year, we're looking to raise funds to ensure that we can:
- Purchase educational materials for our students, including books, art materials, and educational tools.
- Support our dedicated teachers and staff.
- Organise holiday celebrations, and memorable events and activities that foster a sense of community and Jewish pride in the hearts of every child.
- Grow our school one year at a time, welcoming more families into our inclusive, vibrant community.
