Support Jett Trunnell's Battle with Osteosarcoma

Hi All! As many of you know the Trunnell Family has been faced with a tremendous obstacle!

Jett (14) has been suffering extreme pain in his leg since March. Jett believed he may have injured it during wrestling practice. Jett's parents, Justin and Tiffany, have worked with Oakdale doctors and chiropractors to come to a resolve. Doctors overlooked a large tumor in Jett's hip after an x-ray that was performed at Oak Valley Hospital May 20th and recommended physical therapy before ordering an MRI. As the pain increased, Jett has visited his Oakdale doctor who reccomended schedulinng an MRI. An appointment was made for July 19th as scheduling was booked out.

Jett's father recently relocated from Oakdale to Texas. Jett and older sister Kylie began a month visit with Justin in July. While in Texas, Justin was able to schedule an MRI, which was scheduled for July 8th. When the MRI results came back the doctors pointed out a massive tumor on Jett's hip. The doctors took this discovery very seriously and started on a fast track plan to get Jett care. From the looks of the MRI that was performed in Texas, doctors suspected Osteosarcoma (bone cancer). This treatment was followed up with bloodwork, a biopsy, port and PET scan.

Tiffany along with her father, Randy, and daughter Kenzie jumped into a truck and drove to Texas to be by Jett's side and help plan for Jett's recovery.

Jett will be receiving treatment in Texas. This will be a great deal of travel and accommodations for Tiffany and family in California. This will require about 8 months of chemo. Jett is extremely close to his family and will need them by his side to keep his spirits up and keep him strong and fighting. The family has been met with support of family and close friends, but you can imagine the financial obstacles this can place on the family. We would like to take the burden of lodging and travel off the family while they go through this hard time.

If you are unable to help please pray for this family. If you know Jett personally, you know he is an old soul. He is polite, kind, and a true gentleman. He has a enourmous heart and the most loving smile. He is funny, gives the best hugs and always willing to help others. People of all ages enjoy Jett's company because he is kind hearted and loves to collect coins!
