From a Camper to a Home: Help a Future Nurse & Community Caregiver
For the 8 months, our dear friend Jeanette, but many know as Jet, and her children have called a small camper "home." Despite the cramped quarters and the challenges of single motherhood, Jet hasn’t slowed down. She is a pillar of our community, working tirelessly in respite care—providing a lifeline to families who are caring for their own ill or elderly loved ones.
While she spends her days caring for others, her nights are spent buried in textbooks. She is currently finishing her Nursing degree, driven by a fierce motivation to provide a stable, bright future for her children.
After a long year on a waiting list, the news we’ve been praying for finally arrived: Jet has been accepted into a housing program! This is the "yes" she has been working toward. It means a real kitchen, a safe space for the kids to do homework, and the stability she needs to cross the finish line of nursing school.
The Hurdle
While the program provides the opportunity, the reality of today’s housing market remains a barrier. To sign the lease and secure the keys, she needs to bridge the final gap for the move-in costs.
We are raising $1,500 to cover:
The initial security deposit.
First month’s utility connections and essential move-in fees.
Please help this wonderful woman cross the finish line and get her family in a safe dwelling.
