Update on Jethro – Hope in Every Step
On Tuesday, Jethro had his first appointment with an animal chiropractor — a highly experienced, deeply knowledgeable professional with decades in the field. From our very first phone call, he took the time to listen to Jethro’s story, and I immediately felt at ease. Meeting him in person only confirmed my trust. He explained in detail how chiropractic care can help animals, and he was honest from the start: there are no guarantees Jethro will walk again, but there is hope.
After reviewing Jethro’s X rays, veterinary notes, and my own records — including the fact that the shelter gave him two rabies vaccinations within six months — he validated my concerns that over vaccination can sometimes lead to neurological and muscle issues. He discussed several treatment options:
• Gentle adjustments to his neck, head, hips, and hind legs
• Laser therapy to stimulate healing and reduce inflammation
• PEMF therapy to improve circulation and nerve function
He performed Jethro’s first adjustment during the visit. Since then, I’ve noticed small but meaningful changes: Jethro is trying to stand more often, and when he sits up, he’s less shaky. These are tiny victories, but for us, they mean the world.
Progress Snapshot
Then: When we started, Jethro could only drag himself forward with his front legs, his back legs trailing behind. Standing, even for a moment, was exhausting.
Now: After just one chiropractic adjustment, he’s trying to stand more often and is less shaky when he sits up. These are small but meaningful victories — proof that his body is responding.
Next: With continued chiropractic care ($60 per session) and the addition of laser therapy ($60 per session), we have a real chance to strengthen his back legs and help him walk again.
What Your Donation Covers
• $60 = One chiropractic adjustment
• $60 = One laser therapy session
• $120 = One week of both treatments
I have poured everything I can into Jethro’s care — my credit cards are maxed, and while I can cover his very next appointment, that’s as far as I can go alone. I cannot give him this chance without your help.
Every single donation goes directly toward his treatments and anti inflammatory diet. Your support is the only way we can keep moving forward and give Jethro the best possible shot at standing, walking, and living pain free again.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for believing in Jethro and helping us take these steps forward — one paw at a time.

Help Jethro Walk Again — Fund His Chiropractic & Mobility Care
Hi, I’m Lori, and I’m fundraising for my sweet American Bulldog, Jethro Bodean. I adopted him from Riverside County Animal Shelter in February 2025, and he’s been my constant companion ever since. He’s full of love, joy, and determination—but he’s struggling to walk.

His Story:
Just weeks after adoption, Jethro began showing signs of serious mobility issues. He can sit upright and move his legs, but he can’t stand or bear weight properly. Despite clear X-rays and normal bloodwork, his symptoms persist. I suspect a neurological or spinal issue—possibly congenital or linked to his rabies vaccine history. He received two 3-year rabies vaccines within six months, and the second was given without disclosure on the day I adopted him.

I’ve been fighting to get his full medical records, but I’m still missing key information. Meanwhile, Jethro continues to struggle—and I carry him daily.

What We’re Trying to Do:
I’m currently reaching out to two chiropractic specialists who offer care for dogs with mobility challenges. As soon as I confirm which doctor can see Jethro, I’ll schedule his first appointment. But I need help covering the cost.

Estimated cost for initial evaluation and treatment: $800 This includes:

Full chiropractic and neurological assessment

Initial adjustments and follow-up care

Any recommended mobility support or rehab

Why Jethro Deserves This:
Jethro is a fighter. He greets every day with joy, tries to walk with all his might, and never gives up. He’s not in pain—he just needs help unlocking his potential. I want to give him every chance to live a full, happy life.

Why I’m Asking Now:
I’m on Social Security and simply can’t afford this care without help. I need to raise funds before I can confirm and move forward with treatment. Every donation brings us closer to giving Jethro the mobility and dignity he deserves.

If you can donate, share, or send encouragement, it means the world to both of us. I’ll post updates, photos, and progress as we go.

Thank you for helping Jethro take his next step—literally. With love, Lori & Jethro Bodean
