Jesus was detained by ICE on Monday, October 27th in DC while stopped for a coffee break at McDonald's on Wisconsin Ave during his workday. He is a loving husband to Wendy and father of two children, Daira (13) and Erik (19).

He has lived in this country for 24 years, and, along with his wife, is a hardworking member of the community residing in Montgomery County, working to create a beautiful life for himself and his family. He works in construction, and his wife works in home cleaning services. As a family, they enjoy going to soccer games, going for walks, and having family meals together.

In the wake of his absence, the family has been strongly affected by the lack of his presence in their house every day. His wife has been tirelessly trying to support the emotional needs of her children, ensuring their basic needs are met while diligently trying to navigate the legal system and legal fees to support her husband.

Due to the costs of the legal fees and the loss of Jesus’s income, they urgently need help covering the cost of the fees as well as rent.
