Virginia is raising funds for Jesus Gutiérrez Toral, her 25-year-old nephew by marriage, and for his mother after a tragic workplace accident took his life far too soon. While fighting wildfires, Jesus was cutting a tree when he was struck in the head and chest. He was rushed to the hospital and taken into surgery, and the medical team worked for hours to try to save him. Despite every effort, he sadly passed away from his injuries. Jesus was a great person and human being, someone who was always helping others, and his loss has left his family heartbroken.

Now Jesus’s mother is facing the unimaginable pain of losing her son while also trying to manage the many expenses that come with taking him home to rest in peace. She lives in Mexico and flew in to see her son, and these funds will help her cover burial expenses, travel back to Mexico, and other unexpected costs during this difficult time.
