Dear Family and Friends,

On Sunday, July 21, 2024, Juan “Jessie” Fonseca became ill while he was home alone in his apartment. His family in Mount Pleasant, Texas had to call 911 and medics rushed Jessie to the ER. Unfortunately Jessie suffered a major stroke along with other medical conditions. He has paralysis and his speech is affected. He was in ICU in critical condition at UT Southwestern for several days and since has been moved to the Acute Stroke Unit at UTSW.

As many of you know, Jessie is a vibrant and talented musician, playing in a band that travels. His music brings joy to so many, and his kind, funny, and loving nature has always been a source of warmth and happiness for his family and friends.

In this challenging time, Jessie faces a long road to recovery, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. The medical expenses are substantial, and we are reaching out to ask for your support.

With permission from the family, we have set up this Gofund for Jessie. Unfortunately Jessie has no medical insurance which makes current and future medical expenses extremely challenging. Any donation, no matter the size, will help his mother, Ruby Fonseca, his father, Juan Fonseca, as well as his sisters, Victoria, America, and brother, Ricky, manage these overwhelming costs.

We also ask for your prayers and positive thoughts as Jessie embarks on this tough journey toward recovery. Your generosity and kindness mean the world to us and to Jessie.
