Jessie’s life changed in an instant. My 20-year-old son’s shirt caught fire, and he suffered 4th degree burns over most of his torso, shoulders, and neck. He’s already had three surgeries to remove burn tissue down to the muscle, and he faces another surgery next week, with more to follow. When this happened, Jessie was airlifted from Missoula to Salt Lake City, where he’ll remain in the hospital for at least 6 to 8 weeks as he begins the long road to recovery.
