My name is Jessica, and I’m reaching out during one of the most difficult moments of my life. I live with several serious medical conditions, including muscular dystrophy, osteoporosis, and type 2 diabetes. These conditions already make daily life challenging and require constant care and management. This past Tuesday, I suffered a spinal fracture, which has significantly impacted my mobility and ability to function normally. Because of my underlying conditions, healing and recovery are expected to be more complicated and slower than it would be for most people.

Due to my disability, my primary source of income has been driving for Lyft. Unfortunately, with this spinal injury, I am currently unable to drive. Sitting for long periods and even transitioning from sitting to standing is extremely painful, making it impossible for me to safely work right now. Losing my only source of income so suddenly has created an overwhelming situation while I try to focus on healing. I have an appointment scheduled with Social Security on March 31st to apply for disability benefits, but that process can take time. In the meantime, I am facing medical costs and basic living expenses without the ability to work.

I am asking for help to cover medical expenses related to my injury and ongoing conditions, basic living expenses while I recover, transportation to medical appointments, and essential daily needs during this time. Any support means the world to me right now.
