Hi, my fellow horse and non-horse community.
Two days ago, I was unfortunately involved in a horse training accident where the horse slipped and came back up to gain balance. Unfortunately, his hind foot met me directly square in the face. As perfectly as this hoof met me, luckily most of the impact hit me directly under the chin. Thank God I must have a super strong jaw as nothing was actually seen broken on the CT scan.
With this being said, I do have a good concussion which does not allow me to work my jobs as I work directly with horses, either with my vet a few times a week or on our farm at our rescue. I have taken the steps to make sure my hospital and medical stuff is best covered by the workers' compensation; however, this will not and does not provide me with any ability to be covered for life expenses. I am just trying to make sure at this time I am able to fulfill my living expenses. My car payment, insurances, housing, and money for food would be an added bonus.
This took a lot of courage for me to get out here and be vulnerable to ask for help. I thank you all deeply for reading this far and considering helping me mend and get back on my feet.
Lastly, to add some mindful humor; this was written by me, with a concussion, so if there are many and multiple writing errors, my head's not totally in the game.
Again, thank you: love and light. Jessica
