My great niece Jessica Boyd who is 21 years old was driving to work early Tuesday morning in Seneca, IL. Her car hit black ice and slid and turned over 3 times. The airbag did not deploy. Jessie has a broken nose, four broken ribs, three acute compression fractures in her back and neck. It took a plastic surgeon to suture her traumatic face lacerations including a 14 cm opening on her frontal hairline, 4 and 8 cm bilateral lip lacerations and other complex facial lacerations. She is wearing an Aspen Collar for at least the next 12 weeks.

Jessie’s healing process will take approximately 4-6 months. She will be unable to work for a minimum of six months.
