Hi, my name is Jessica and I'm a 24 year old trans woman living with abusive, transphobic parents in the southwest US. Every day, it feels like a matter of time till things suddenly get worse, and every time I have to weather that when they do.

I need money to get a room as soon as possible with a roommate, and the first month or two are always the roughest, so I need to pay for rent plus the initial deposit and moving fees. At writing, I found a room listing, and I want to be living there by April or May. Moving out and having a space of my own will finally allow my brain and nervous system to work on healing from my past. I'm also working on getting a job to be able to sustain the room, but the job market is also hard on everyone but I've hung on this long!
