Jessica has always been the kind of person who makes the world feel lighter.

Her laugh, her warmth, her ability to make people feel seen — these are the things that make her Jessica.

But right now, life has become heavier than any one person should ever have to carry.

A few years ago, Jessica survived a terrible car accident. She fought her way through the pain, through rehabilitation, through the quiet moments of grief where life was no longer what it once was. She learned to live with disabilities that changed her daily reality — but she never stopped trying, never stopped loving, never stopped showing up for her son.

And then, as if that battle wasn’t enough, she was recently diagnosed with Cushing’s disease, a devastating condition that attacks the body from the inside out. It causes extreme fatigue, muscle weakness, and pain so intense that even simple tasks can feel impossible. This disease has taken her strength, her energy, and so much of the life she once recognized.

Jessica has spent far too many nights in hospital rooms instead of her own bed.

And while she fights for her health, her soon-to-be 18-year-old son has had to learn to be strong in ways no teenager should have to. They are navigating this together — and they are tired. Not of each other, but of the constant uphill climb.

Yet somehow, in the middle of all of this, Jessica managed to build a home. A real home — a place that is hers. A place where she hopes healing can finally begin.

And inside that home, there is room for something that could change everything:

A service dog.

Not just a companion — but a lifeline.

A trained service dog would:

Help Jessica stand and walk when her muscles weaken

Alert her during medical episodes

Bring stability on days when her body feels impossible to carry

Provide safety when she is alone

Offer comfort when pain and fear feel overwhelming

This dog could give her a piece of her life back.

We are asking for help to raise $2,500 to make this possible.

Jessica has always given love, joy, and support to the people around her — even when her own heart was breaking. She has fought every battle thrown her way with courage that most of us will never have to understand.
