Support Jessica’s Fight Against Chronic Illness

Donation protected
Hello, we are Maria and Dominica, writing with the support of Jessica’s brother, Jay, to ask for your help in a time of great need. Our dear friend Jessica has been battling severe chronic illnesses and invisible disabilities throughout her young adult life.

Despite her struggles, Jessica radiates joy and faith, often saying, “I have joy for Jesus.” She is deeply involved in her church, loves serving others, and inspires everyone she meets with her resilience and kindness.

This past year has been especially hard for Jessica. Although she smiles through her pain and focuses on helping others, the toll of her illnesses has become overwhelming. Now, we’re asking for your help to alleviate her financial burden and give her the resources she needs to heal.

Jessica’s Medical Journey
Jessica has faced an incredibly complex medical history, including:

• Heart Issues: Early-stage heart failure, heart block, severe bradycardia (low heart rate), and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) required a pacemaker to keep her heart functioning.
• Neurological Challenges: Jessica endured three mini-strokes, leading to temporary loss of vision, speech, and mobility. Through therapy and faith, she regained much of her strength.
• Brain Tumor: A pituitary macroadenoma required two brain surgeries, one year apart, to remove the tumor. However, repeated MRI scans for monitoring damaged her pacemaker leads, necessitating recent heart surgeries.
• Digestive Disorders: Severe Gastrointestinal Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (GI-MCAS), Cyclical Vomiting Syndrome (CVS), and Gastroparesis have led to prolonged hospital stays, tube feeds, and intravenous nutrition.

Despite these challenges, Jessica lives independently, relying on rides or delivery services for essential errands and appointments. However, the constant medical bills, rent, and other expenses are overwhelming.

Her Current Situation
Since May, Jessica has been hospitalized multiple times, most recently undergoing two heart surgeries in December. Complications included sepsis, blood infections, and ongoing procedures, which prevented her from spending Christmas and New Year’s at home. Her health remains fragile, but her faith and determination are unshakable.
Jessica dreams of returning to a safe and fulfilling life, but she needs access to specialized care, medications, and possibly a service dog trained to support her medical needs—a cost ranging from $50,000–$75,000. Our ultimate goal is to raise $150,000 to cover her ongoing medical expenses and give her the best chance at regaining her independence and quality of life.

How You Can Help
Jessica has given so much of herself to others, whether by praying for patients in her healthcare job or showing love to friends and strangers alike. Now, it’s our turn to give back to someone who deserves it. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. Together, we can help Jessica focus on her health and healing without the crushing weight of financial stress.

Your support will provide:
• Access to specialists and life-saving treatments
• Funds for rent, groceries, transportation, and daily living expenses
• A potential service dog to ensure her safety and independence
Jessica would never ask for this help herself, but we know she would be the first to help anyone in need. Let’s show her she’s loved, appreciated, and supported by the community she’s touched so deeply.
Thank you for your generosity and prayers. Together, we can give Jessica the chance to reclaim her life and continue sharing her joy and love for the Lord.

God bless you all.
