Support Jessica's College Dream

I am Jessica’s father. Jessica is an extremely hard working student and school athlete, playing soccer and lacrosse for Attleboro High School. She was recently scammed by someone claiming to be from instagram. Her account was hacked and when she tried to reset her account an email and text was supposed to go to her phone so she could unlock her account. She never received an email or text so looked up Instagram’s account number on Google unaware Instagram doesn’t have a contact number. It ended up being a hacker who told her others had her banking information. They managed to scam $2,000 out of her accounts. As this was happening, I was on the phone with Bank of America fraud department to try to stop these transactions, but unfortunately, Bank Of America could not stop them even though I was on the phone with them as it was happening. The money they had scammed from her was part of a scholarship she had won for being an honors student. I tried everything I could to get the money back but with no luck. She is super smart and has been excepted to Boston College. We are a low income family and getting at least some of the money back would help more than most people know. She worked hard all her life to get excellent grades and be an honors student knowing that we could not afford to send her to a good college if she didn’t.
