In 2021, our beloved coworker and friend, Jessica Tewell, underwent brain surgery to remove a meningioma tumor, believed to be caused by long-term use of Depo-Provera. With her trademark courage and strength, she made it through that life-altering experience and began the long process of recovery.

Now, Jessica is facing an even more difficult road. Recent scans have shown that the tumor has regrown, and this time, her treatment will require two separate brain surgeries:

The first surgery will reduce pressure and swelling in her brain,

And the second surgery will fully remove the tumor.

This is not only an incredibly difficult medical journey, but a financially overwhelming one. The costs from her first surgery were substantial, and with two more procedures ahead — along with extended recovery time and time off work — the financial burden is growing quickly.
