Help Jessica Fight Ovarian Cancer
My sister-in-law Jessica Hansen was recently diagnosed with stage 3 clear cell ovarian cancer. She’s only 36 and has a long road ahead. She’s already had one surgery, will start chemo soon, and then she’ll need another surgery after that.
Jessica is one of the sweetest, most caring people I know. She’s been married to my brother Addison for almost six years. Addison is a military veteran, and together they’ve built a quiet, loving life surrounded by animals. They have five rescue cats and are currently fostering three more, so yes—eight cats in their little townhouse. It’s a full house in the best way. Jessica has also worked for a nonprofit for the last four years, dedicating herself to helping others.
Right now, she’s on unpaid medical leave. That means no income while she fights through treatment, and the medical bills are already piling up. They bought their first home two years ago and have been working so hard to build their future together. This diagnosis has shaken everything.
Jessica told me this feels like an adventure she never wanted to be on. Addison had their future all planned out, and now everything is on pause. We’re hoping to raise funds to take some of the pressure off so she can focus on healing without the stress of how they’re going to afford it.
Anything helps. If you can donate, share, or just send love their way, it means more than you know. Thank you so much for supporting Jessica through this.
