In 2022, Jessica Weaver underwent a back fusion surgery in hopes of finding relief from severe lower back pain. Although the procedure provided temporary improvement, her pain gradually returned and continued to worsen. After years of hearing the same answers at every appointment, Jessica sought a second opinion from a new spine and back specialist.

In October 2025, the new doctor ordered an updated MRI—and the results were devastating. The scan revealed a mass the size of a baseball on her left adrenal gland. Surgery was quickly scheduled for October 22 to remove both the gland and the mass. By the time surgeons operated, the mass had already grown an additional 3 cm. Biopsy results confirmed the mass was cancerous.

She has since met with her oncologist and undergone further scans to determine whether the cancer has spread to her lungs or lymph nodes. Jessica is currently awaiting those results, which will guide her treatment plan moving forward.

Between constant doctor appointments, scans, recovery, and the uncertainty of cancer treatment, Jessica has been unable to work her normal hours. This has created a significant financial strain during an already overwhelming season.
