My sister, Jessica Stanley, has had significant health issues and has been unable to work for a while due to multiple hospitalizations — including 10 days in the ICU.

Her husband, Ray, has had reduced hours at work because he has single-handedly been taking care of their son, keeping up with the housework, and visiting Jess in the hospital every day. Ray has done a fantastic job. He has truly embraced the “in sickness and in health” part of his marriage vows.

After 15 days, Jess is finally home from the hospital and she will have home health and physical therapy and more doctor appointments. She is still very weak, having a hard time breathing, and mostly bedridden.

Jess has missed a lot of work and she doesn’t know yet when she will be able to go back. Ray has missed work due to taking on extra duties. They are a two-income household. If you are able to make a donation of any amount, the Stanley family would be so grateful. It would go towards medical expenses not covered by insurance, groceries, and important household expenses.
