Hello, my name is Stephanie and I'm setting up this fund to help my dear friends Todd and Jessica Russell on her road to recovery from having Placenta Precreta! She is a fighter and has fought so hard to get to the SURVIVOR side. Even though she's not there yet, I know she will come out of this and survive because her faith in God is so strong and her prayer warriors have her in constant prayer as well!

At 14 weeks, Jessica was diagnosed with Placenta Precreta, which is a life-threatening condition where her placenta is currently out of her uterus and attached to her bladder, and Placenta Previa. Placenta Precreta is rare and life threatening. Her surgery will take hours and the amount of blood she will lose is unimaginable. She will be having a full hysterectomy during this surgery along with repair to her bladder forsure. She is also facing repairs to arteries and her ureters if her placenta has attached and invaded those places as well. This surgery is life threatening for so many reasons. At one point there will be 25 to 30 doctors/surgeons/nurses/assistants in the OR while she is in surgery to assist in saving her life! Everyday she is home and not inpatient is a blessing and you can call a miracle.

She will be headed down to St. Vincent's in Indianapolis to be admitted 2 weeks before the delivery of her son at 34 weeks. Her expected inpatient date is April 6th with surgery 2 weeks later. Due to the seriousness of the surgery as mentioned above, she is expected to be in the hospital 2 weeks or longer after surgery, and recovery could take 6 months to a year to fully recover. Jess will need lots of help once she is home, not only for her own recovery but once her son is released from the NICU, she will need help with him. She also has 3 other little kids at home. This will require Todd to take off a lot of work for care and appointments Jess and baby will have in Indianapolis. Todd is the sole financial provider for their family, and even though his time off is approved by FMLA, he will not be paid for it. They do have some money saved but not nearly enough! This family will take a hit financially while he is off and that's why I'm here with this fund! I don't want either of them to have to stress about finances when they just went through and survived a complicated surgery. Anything helps no donation is to small! Thank you in advance!
