This beautiful girl is Jessica Peele and she has been in my heart since before she was born. She is my Goddaughter, whom I love dearly. She is a strong, beautiful, hard working, single mama with a heart of pure gold. The first part of May 2024 she began having abdominal pain which lead her to the emergency room. After days of tests, scans, biopsies, she heard what no one wants to hear, CANCER. She is 35 years old with a beautiful 2 year old and she has cancer! Her diagnosis, stage IV Colon Cancer with metastasis to her female organs and liver. She was immediately started on a regimen of chemotherapy infusions over 3 days a week.
Her new normal is full of doctors appointments, infusions, expensive medicines, and driving back and forth to the Cancer Center at Firsthealth. All of this while trying to make as many special memories with her family every day.
My hope is for her is to feel the love and prayers of as many people as possible and to take some of the burden off her shoulders. Please keep her in your prayers.
