Update 9/17/24 Jess had her skin graft and the donation site is healing up. Next step is to get out of the burn/trauma unit and to rehab.

I hope this message finds you well. I'm reaching out today with a heavy heart and an urgent plea for support for a remarkable individual who has recently faced an unimaginable tragedy.

Our dear friend and colleague, Jessica Irelan, was involved in a severe accident that has drastically changed her life. In the blink of an eye, she went from being a vibrant and dedicated member of our team to facing a challenging and painful road to recovery.

In this tragic accident, Jessica sustained several serious injuries:

Loss of her right arm from the elbow down: A devastating injury that will require extensive adjustment and support.

Shattered right tibia & fibula: This will demand multiple surgeries and a long period of rehabilitation to regain mobility.

Fractured her left radius at the wrist.

Fractured C1 vertebrae: This injury adds a critical dimension to her recovery, involving careful monitoring and treatment.

As you can imagine, the physical and emotional toll on Jessica is immense. Beyond the physical pain, she is now facing an array of challenges: from adjusting to life with a major limb loss to managing the extensive medical bills that are rapidly accumulating.
