Support Jessica & family during tragic loss of Stephen

For those of you who aren’t aware, Stephen Edward’s passed away tragically on April 8th at 1242am after fighting a long, hard battle. He suffered from sepsis and multi organ failure which was likely caused by an extremely rare autoimmune disease, “good pasture syndrome”. Stephen’s family never left his side and were surrounding him at his bedside at the health sciences centre as he took his last breath. Steve, also known as “Pedro” by many of his friends was a gentle, quiet, kind, and funny person that everyone wanted to be around. It’s true when they say only the good die young.

At the young age of 32, Stephen now leaves behind his beautiful wife Jessica and two children, Jake (8), and Mya (7). Along with his sister Heather, mother Jackie, and father Terry. Those of you who have the privilege of knowing this family are well aware of the financial stress that they have endured over the past 7 and a half years when Stephen was unfortunately diagnosed with this awful autoimmune disease. Between Stephen not being well enough to work, and the financial costs of many hospital trips and stays in St. John’s, Jessica is now faced to not only grieve the loss of her best friend, husband, father of her children, but she now also has a huge financial strain on her and her family. We are organizing this fundraiser with hopes that we can somewhat help Jessica & family with stress that she shouldn’t even have to think about as she grieves the loss of her husband.
