Please help to raise money for Jessica and her son Dominick!

We received some unfortunate news regarding Dominick’s health. He will need to see a specialist and then will have to undergo a very intense, invasive surgery.

We are hoping to raise enough money to send Jessica and Dominick to Denver and home again, as well as help take care of the medical bills to come.

They are scheduled to see the specialists and surgeons in Denver this August (next month!). So it’s coming up quick, we would greatly appreciate any help getting this little boy and his wonderful mother what they need to make this happen!

Dominick has a left subclavian artery and a right-sided aortic arch. We recently found out via X-rays from when Dominick was taken in for a cold. Two days before Mother’s Day, his X-ray was sent to a specialist who said his left valve to his heart is backwards. More than likely, he was born that way and has adapted to it. More specialists found he has a vascular ring causing compression when swallowing on the nerve to the left aorta valve. This causes him to choke when he eats and could be a main cause of a lot of his breathing issues over the years. In performing the surgery, surgeons will have to go in through Dominick's ribs, into his heart to clip that ring. This causes him to choke when he eats and could be a main cause of a lot of his breathing issues over the years.

We are looking to raise money to send Jessica and Dominick to Denver. August 25th is when he will see the specialist and the 27th is surgery. They could be there for 5 days, they could be there a week or 2 weeks; we don’t know yet, but will keep you posted. More than that, Dominick is 11 and this is huge for him. While already going through the stresses of being in middle school and trying understand himself and what is happen to his body. We would like to help alleviate as much stress as possible while Dominick and his family go through this difficult journey together.
