Help Bring Israel Lupercio Mendoza Home
After over a year of relentlessly searching, Jessica Lupercio finally received the heartbreaking confirmation that her father, Israel Lupercio Mendoza, has passed. He went missing in Tijuana, Mexico in July 2023, and for years Jessica tirelessly searched for answers—traveling back and forth across the border, holding onto hope.
Due to devastating clerical errors in his official case file—including a misreported tattoo description—his identity remained unknown for far too long. It wasn’t until a recent DNA match that Jessica was finally able to identify his remains. Her father tragically died in an accidental fire, and the long-delayed discovery has only added to the deep grief and emotional toll this journey has taken on the Lupercio family.
Now, Jessica is preparing for the next chapter—bringing her father home to Grandview, WA, where he will be laid to rest beside his mother. The process involves international travel, legal procedures, and burial arrangements, all of which are emotionally and financially overwhelming.
Israel was the life of the party—known for his loyalty, his love of music, good food, and even better beer. He wasn’t perfect, but he was deeply loved. If you had the pleasure of meeting him, you know he had a big heart and an unforgettable presence.
If you’re able to support Jessica and her family in honoring him with the dignity and farewell he deserves, your donation—of any size—would mean the world.
