Support Jesse's Stroke Recovery Journey

Those of you that know me know that I don't ever ask for a lot of help especially financially. I would work a second job if I needed to and have in the past. Life is different know and I have 2 little ones and a 9 year old stepson. As you know Jesse suffered a stroke and we have a long road ahead of us. What I didn't know is there is not much financial help anywhere. I filled for social security disability but have been told by the case worker your first claim is always denied and then it takes 6 months to a year to receive anything. He has insurance through my work but no short term or long term disability. I am patiently waiting for my tax return but that will only last a month or so.

The good news is he is out of ICU and in rehab now and doing a little better every day. He has more feeling now on his left side than he did when he got there Monday evening. Today in PT with help and a wheelchair behind him in case he falls he could walk a little bit with a cane slowly. He is making amazing progress so far but most say there no time frame on what and will come back other than the brain takes awhile to heal. They estimate at least a year for his recovery. I currently only have my income coming in and can't afford everything on my own so I am asking for a help for a little help
