Jesse has always been the heart of our group—a hardworking, engaging bartender at Matsuhisa of Denver, known for his craft cocktails and his ability to make every guest feel at home. Regulars come in just to sit at his bar, knowing he’ll pair them with the perfect dish and make their dining experience memorable. Outside of work, Jesse is passionate about snowboarding, and last year we had an unforgettable trip to Vail where he showed us why he loves the mountains so much. He’s also the friend who brings everyone together, whether he’s grilling by the pool or cooking up a storm for Thanksgiving—though we’ll never forget the year we accidentally set the marshmallows on fire!
Recently, Jesse’s life took an unexpected turn. He was hospitalized for 18 days with a severe, unknown infection that left doctors searching for answers. While he’s now out of the hospital, his recovery is ongoing and his daily routines and future plans have changed dramatically. Jesse’s parents flew in to support him, and together they’re preparing for a cross-country move back to Massachusetts so he can continue healing with family by his side.
The financial strain is significant. Jesse is unable to work as he recovers, and the medical bills from his lengthy hospital stay are still unknown but sure to be overwhelming. On top of that, there are travel expenses and the costs of relocating. As friends who care deeply for Jesse and his family, we’re asking for any support you can offer to help ease their burden during this difficult time. Every contribution will go directly toward medical bills, travel, and living expenses as Jesse focuses on getting back on his feet. Thank you for helping us support someone who has always given so much to others.
