Jesse Valdez, my cousin, was on a holiday trip with his son and extended family in Bend, Oregon.
On December 20, 2025, he had a hemorrhagic (brain bleed) stroke to the right ventricle of his brain.
He was taken via 911 to St. Charles Hospital in Bend, Oregon, where he was admitted to the ICU and placed immediately on a ventilator and drainage tube to his brain for the removal of the bleeding and swelling of the brain.
Once he was stable, he was transferred out of the ICU to a step-down unit. Most recently, he was transferred to the Neuro floor for his care.
He is now stable enough to be transported via medical ambulance to a skilled nursing facility in his home state (California), where he will receive rehabilitation (therapy) from his stroke.

Unfortunately, medical insurance does not cover ambulance transportation to his home state.

We are in need of financial assistance to have him transported home via medical ambulance.
Please help us get Jesse home. Any and all funds will help.
Thank you in advance for this help and prayers.
