I'm raising funds for my partner, Jesse, after a recent endoscopy led to a diagnosis of Adenocarcinoma of the Esophagus. Jesse is the best person I know and the love of my life. If you know Jesse, you know he is one of a kind: a hardworking and caring nurse, an immensely talented musician, and an empathetic, compassionate, intelligent, warm soul who makes people feel at ease in the chaos of life.

To our shock and sadness, we are now facing a fight that will include impending surgery and may also involve radiation, chemotherapy, and/or immunotherapy. This diagnosis has terrified us both and brought so many big feelings, questions, and fears into everyday life. It has turned our world upside down and changed what each day looks like.

The financial impact of cancer care is already weighing heavily on us. Donations will help cover the cost of procedures, doctor visits, medications, gas for travel, and missed work during treatment and recovery. Every part of this process comes with added strain, and any support will help ease some of that burden so Jesse can focus on getting through what lies ahead.
