My son, Jesse Sisk, was recently involved in a traumatic motorcycle accident that changed his entire world in seconds. He broke his femur and shattered his left knee—injuries that most people can’t even imagine standing, let alone walking, on again. Since the accident, he has been in excruciating pain and facing surgeries, hospital stays, and a long road of physical therapy just to learn how to walk again.

Jesse is the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back without thinking twice. He’s the guy who shows up, who helps, who works hard, who never complains—even when life hits him hard. Seeing someone so strong brought to this point has been heartbreaking for all of us.

Doctors have told us he will be out of work for at least two months, but realistically it could be six months or more before he’s back on his feet. That means months without income, while medical bills and everyday expenses continue to pile up. The stress of that alone is overwhelming when all he should be focused on is healing.
