Jesse Povado is not just a coworker—he’s someone who always shows up, even when life gets tough. Recently, Jesse arrived at work gasping for air, struggling with his asthma and without the safety net of medical insurance. Realizing he needed urgent help, he asked one of us for a ride to the hospital because he simply couldn’t breathe. As soon as we got there, Jesse collapsed and lost consciousness. He’s now in the intensive care unit, still unresponsive, and facing this battle without any family by his side. Our coworkers have been taking turns by his side so he is not alone through this.
Jesse’s situation is heartbreaking. On top of his current medical situation, he was already carrying the weight of a large hospital bill from previous care. Now, with mounting medical expenses and no way to work, the financial strain will be overwhelming for him. We want to do everything we can to help Jesse focus on healing, rather than worrying about how he’ll pay for his care or cover his living expenses from him being unable to work.
If you can please find it in your heart to share or donate, even if it is a small amount, it would mean the world to Jesse and all of us who care about him. Every contribution will go directly toward his medical bills, living expenses, and the income he’s missing while he’s in the hospital. Anything will help. Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
